A violent clash broke out between two groups in Canggu, Kuta Utara, on December 5, 2024.
The altercation, which took place outside the popular Mexicola bar, was captured on video and quickly circulated online, drawing attention to the increasing number of such incidents involving foreigners.
Witnesses described the scene, with the fighting taking place on the road in front of Mexicola on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong No. 117X.
According to a Tribun Bali report, the quarrel reportedly began inside the bar after a dispute between the foreigners and locals, which escalated to the point where the DJ had to stop the music. Security staff at Mexicola intervened, asking all parties involved to leave the premises.
The two groups continued their altercation outside the bar, in full view of bystanders. Shockingly, some locals were caught in the violence, with reports stating that one individual was knocked unconscious during the incident, according to the report.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the brawl. Local police from Kuta Utara are working to gather information, with Kuta Utara Police Chief AKP Yusuf Dwi Admodjo confirming that the authorities are looking into the incident.
