A South Korean national identified by the initials CHK, aged 56, has been deported from Bali by the Ngurah Rai Class I Special Immigration Office after being found in violation of local public order regulations.

The action followed CHK’s removal of barrier lines installed by the Badung Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) at several plots of land designated for activity suspension in Desa Adat Kampial, South Kuta District.

Immigration officials stated that the conduct constituted a violation of Badung Regency Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2016 on Public Order and Community Tranquility. Based on examination results, authorities concluded that CHK failed to comply with applicable Indonesian laws, leading to the imposition of administrative immigration sanctions, including deportation.

CHK was a holder of a Limited Stay Permit or ITAS under a family unification status. Although the permit was valid until August 2026, immigration authorities determined that the violation warranted firm enforcement measures. In addition to deportation, CHK’s ITAS was formally canceled, and his name was proposed for inclusion on the immigration deterrence list, which may restrict future entry into Indonesia.

Deportation Process

The deportation was carried out on Monday night, January 26, 2026. CHK departed through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar aboard a Jeju Air flight operating the Denpasar to Incheon route. The flight departed at 11:05 p.m. WITA.

“We do not tolerate foreigners who do not obey the rules. This deportation is a real form of law enforcement in order to maintain order and security in Bali,” said the Head of the Special Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai, Winarko, on Tuesday (27/1/2026).

Interagency Enforcement

Authorities confirmed that the case was handled through coordinated action by the Foreigners Supervision Team or TIMPORA. The enforcement process began with a report from the Badung Satpol PP regarding the removal of official barrier lines at land sites under activity suspension status.

The report was subsequently followed up by the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Division (Inteldakim) of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, which conducted examinations and confirmed the violation.

Immigration Statement

Winarko of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office stated that immigration authorities will continue to work closely with relevant agencies to ensure that foreign nationals in Bali comply with Indonesian laws and regulations. He emphasized that all foreign nationals must comply with applicable laws during their stay in Indonesia.

Current Status

With the completion of the deportation and the cancellation of the residence permit, the immigration enforcement process against CHK has been concluded. The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office confirmed that supervision of foreign nationals will remain ongoing through interagency coordination to uphold public order and immigration compliance in Bali.
