Head of Public Relations for Buleleng Police, Iptu Yohana Rosalin Diaz, identified the victim by her initials MM. She was discovered at approximately 11.00 Wita by a PDAM officer.

“The victim was found in a lifeless condition inside the house in a lying position and his neck was tied with a plastic rope,” said Yohana on Tuesday.

Discovered During Routine Meter Check

According to police information, the PDAM officer initially visited the property to check the water meter. After receiving no response when calling out to the occupant, the officer entered the yard area and saw the victim lying motionless.

The officer subsequently reported the discovery to nearby residents and the property owner. The incident was then conveyed to the village authorities and the police for further handling.

Officers from Buleleng Police arrived at the scene shortly afterward and secured the location for investigation.

“The results of an external examination by a forensic doctor showed that the victim had died in less than 24 hours. No signs of violence were found on the victim’s body,” said Yohana.

Medical Examination Findings

Based on a medical examination, authorities found pressure abrasions on the victim’s neck consistent with marks from a rope. Foam was also observed at the victim’s mouth. Police reported that several of the victim’s personal belongings were found at the scene.

Yohana stated that witness statements indicated the victim had been living alone in the house for approximately four months prior to her death. She was also reportedly experiencing psychological pressure related to economic problems.

“The victim is known to be experiencing financial difficulties because his banking access is blocked. The victim also complained of stress and had attempted suicide before,” he said.
