Bali is setting its sights on drawing at least 6.5 million international visitors in 2025, with the province’s Tourism Office rolling out an impressive lineup of events to entice travelers.

The island’s 2025 calendar already boasts 54 major attractions spread across the year, showcasing Bali’s vibrant culture and diverse experiences.

Key Highlights for 2025

Among the standout events are the Ogoh-Ogoh Parades, held on 28 March, the evening before Nyepi, Bali’s Day of Silence.

These parades transform villages and cities into lively stages for massive, demon-like effigies accompanied by traditional orchestras in a spectacle aimed at warding off evil spirits.

Nyepi itself will be observed from 6 a.m. on 29 March to 6 a.m. on 30 March.

April will feature the Semarapura Festival in Karangasem Regency, followed by the Mekotek Ceremony in Munggu Village in May—a traditional ritual aimed at ensuring safety and warding off bad luck.

That same month, the world-renowned BaliSpirit Festival will return to Ubud from 7–11 May, offering a rich program of yoga, music, and wellness activities.

June promises an eclectic mix of events, including the Bali International Film Festival, the Bali Arts Festival, and the Soerkarno Cup Kite Festival and Competition.

In July, tourists can enjoy the Penglipuran Village Festival, Lovina Festival, Bali Kite Festival, and more, perfectly timed with the island’s peak tourist season.

Jazz, Marathons, and More

August will see the Ubud Village Jazz Festival, one of Asia’s most celebrated jazz events, alongside the Maybank Marathon and the Tanah Lot Art and Food Festival.

September brings the return of the Bali International Airshow, the Vegan Festival, and the Mas Village Festival, among others.

October will be marked by the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival, Indonesia’s premier literary and cultural event, running from 29 October to 2 November.

In addition to the confirmed cultural and community festivals, Bali’s music venues, beach clubs, and entertainment hubs are expected to announce more events throughout the year.
