The legal dispute involving Russian citizen Sergei Domogatskii, known online as Mr. Terimakasih, has taken a new turn, as he now faces police reports from 12 foreign nationals in Bali. The reports, filed with the Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali), allege investment fraud and social media defamation.

“Those who reported were 12 people. All of them are foreigners,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Ariasandy, at his office, Thursday (23/10/2025).

According to police spokesperson Ariasandy, the complainants are citizens of Belarus, Russia, France, and Ukraine. They accuse Domogatskii of promoting fraudulent property investments in villas, apartments, and townhouses, with total losses estimated at tens of billions of rupiah.

“Many people feel disadvantaged by Sergei. So many want to report him. We suspect that there will be many more who will report,” said Ariasandy.

Investment Offers Promoted on Social Media

The case reportedly began in 2024, when Domogatskii shared posts on his social media accounts inviting followers to invest in property projects. Many of his followers, all foreign nationals, are said to have transferred funds to a company he designated.

The reported investment amounts range from 200,000 US dollars to 10 million rubles, with transactions made through Indonesian banks and cryptocurrency transfers.

“The company represents Sergei or a fictitious company, we are still investigating,” said Ariasandy.

“Now the alleged investment fraud is being handled by the Bali Police Directorate of Ressiber,” he said.

Two Companies Also Implicated

In addition to Domogatskii, two companies, PT RH and PT BDG, were also named in the complaints. Police records indicate that both entities are connected to the property investment activities under investigation.

Polda Bali has received twelve reports in total. Six have been assigned to relevant sub-directorates for follow-up, while the remaining six are still under preliminary investigation. Police have begun completing administrative and evidentiary requirements.

“We are also planning a follow-up in the form of summoning related parties, including Sergei Domogatskii,” said the Head of Public Relations.

Investigation Continues Despite Challenges

Officers noted difficulties in collecting certain documents because some evidence remains with the complainants in their home country, Russia.

The case marks a complex development, with Domogatskiionce a complainant in a separate case—now the subject of multiple ongoing investigations by Polda Bali.
