A 23-year-old Russian national was arrested for stealing a Honda Beat motorcycle in Jimbaran, Kuta Selatan, on 16 November 2024.
The suspect, residing at the Bali Kencana Resort in Ungasan, Kuta Selatan, took a parked motorcycle at the Honeymoon Beach on Jalan Pura Tegal Wangi.
At the time of the theft, the motorcycle’s key was left in the ignition, and the owner had gone a short distance to take selfies with friends, about 10 meters away from the vehicle.
When the victim returned to the parking area at around 11:30 AM, the motorcycle was gone.
Despite searching the area, the victim could not locate the bike and reported the theft to the Kuta Selatan Police.
Following the investigation, police identified the involvement of the Russian national and arrested him at his residence after nearly a month of inquiries.
Denpasar Police Chief Kombes Wisnu Prabowo confirmed that the suspect had admitted to the theft.
