A Russian tourist was killed in a traffic accident on Jalan Raya Desa Pesinggahan, Dawan district, in front of Pura Goa Lawah, Klungkung, Bali, on Saturday evening, 1 February 2025.

The 30-year-old victim died after her motorcycle collided with a truck, according to Klungkung Police Traffic Unit Chief AKP Untung Laksono.

The accident occurred at approximately 18:00 WITA. The victim, who was riding a Honda Scoopy, was traveling eastbound from Klungkung toward Karangasem. At the same time, an Isuzu truck was coming from the opposite direction.

“[The victim] suddenly veered too far to the right, making a collision unavoidable,” Laksono said on Sunday.

Her motorcycle crashed into the truck, causing her to fall and sustain severe injuries.

She was rushed to Klungkung Regional Hospital, where she was treated for head trauma, swelling on her left eye, a laceration on the left side of her mouth, and multiple fractures and bruises on her limbs.

Despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead at 20:30 WITA.
