Mikhail Kabulov, the Russian national involved, first attempted to flag down a passing vehicle. When the driver refused to stop, Kabulov targeted an online taxi following behind. Unaware of the imminent threat, the driver allowed Kabulov to board. Once inside, Kabulov revealed a knife and attempted to seize control of the vehicle.

Driver’s Immediate Response

The driver acted swiftly and effectively. Exiting the vehicle without hesitation, he immediately alerted nearby residents by shouting for help. His quick thinking ensured his safety and drew immediate attention to the unfolding situation.

The local community responded without delay. Residents converged on the scene, pulling Kabulov from the vehicle and physically subduing him. Their rapid response was crucial in neutralizing the threat and preventing further escalation.

Kabulov, wearing knee-length shorts and a purple jacket, was restrained with his hands and feet bound. The knife used in the attempted hijacking was recovered and secured as evidence. Kabulov was taken into custody and transported to Gianyar Police Station for further investigation.
