Indonesia is set to welcome a new hospital, Bali International Hospital (BIH), said to adopt an “international standard”. The hospital will begin its soft opening in April 2025.

The hospital, located in the Sanur Special Economic Zone (KEK Sanur), is designed with eco-friendly principles and equipped with cutting-edge medical technology, aiming to strengthen Indonesia’s healthcare sector while boosting medical tourism.

Minister AHY Praises Medical Professionals

Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) visited the hospital on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

During the visit, he expressed his appreciation for the dedication of medical professionals working to enhance their skills and adopt the latest medical technologies to provide world-class care.

“I highly appreciate the hard work of our doctors in upgrading their competencies to master advanced medical technologies while delivering the best treatment to patients,” said Minister AHY in an official statement on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Strategic Location for Comfort and Care

AHY highlighted the hospital’s strategic location within KEK Sanur, which offers a serene environment conducive to patient and family comfort.

As the minister responsible for regional development, AHY emphasized the critical role of healthcare infrastructure in improving the nation’s quality of life.

“Following President Prabowo Subianto’s directive, we are committed to developing infrastructure that supports the healthcare sector, as the quality of Indonesians’ lives is directly tied to the quality of health services,” he stated.

The Bali International Hospital is expected to attract international patients, contributing to economic growth and enhancing the tourism sector.
