Bonnie Blue, a British tourist whose legal name is Tia Billinger, has been released by the Badung Resort Police along with three male associates identified as LAJ, aged 27, JJTW, aged 28, and INL, aged 24. Police stated that the investigation did not find any pornographic elements in the content they produced. Their release followed examinations conducted after a recent raid involving multiple foreign nationals.

“Until now, no content has been found that contains pornographic elements or violates the Pornography Law,” said Temporary Officer of the Badung Police Public Relations Subsipenmas Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti in Badung, Wednesday, December 11, 2025

Witness Accounts Support Findings

Police representative Ayu reported that sixteen individuals were questioned, leading investigators to conclude that the group had been filming a reality show. Fifteen Australian tourists detained during the same operation were also released. Fourteen Indonesian studio crew members confirmed that the studio was rented legally and stated that no indecent material was created.

“From the results of the examination of 16 foreign witnesses, all of them admitted to being in the studio to take part in the process of making entertainment-themed reality show content. They admit that they are making collab content in the form of exciting games so that many people can see them because many people watch their content,” explained Ayu.

They also acknowledged their understanding of Indonesia’s restrictions on producing pornographic content.

“Investigators also examined videos that had been made at a hotel in the Berawa area, but found no pornographic elements or the dissemination of illegal content,” he said.

Expert and Prosecutorial Review

Badung Police Chief AKBP M. Arif Batubara explained that the case was handled objectively and transparently. A criminal law expert concluded that the Pornography Law and the Electronic Information and Transactions Law were not violated because there was no evidence of production or distribution beyond personal use. A case review with the Badung District Attorney’s Office reached the same conclusion. Although a private sexual video was found on a suspect’s phone, officials determined it had not been shared.

Visa Misuse and Additional Indications Under Review

Police transferred Bonnie Blue and the three foreign nationals to immigration authorities due to indications of visa misuse. Investigators suspect they used tourist visas while engaging in activities interpreted as commercial content creation. In addition, there are indications of irregularities in the purchase and use of a pickup truck labeled “Bonnie Blue Bang Bus,” which was used as a content production prop.

Current Status

Polres Badung is coordinating with the District Attorney’s Office and immigration authorities to determine the next legal steps regarding the foreign nationals. The pornography investigation has been closed, and further action will focus on potential visa and administrative violations.
